Finding Peace and Some Rare Time to Myself
Tuesday, March 4, 2008
It's been a whole week since I posted last--how could that be? I think last week was just so overwhelming for me that nothing I had to say could compare to last Tuesday's post. Nothing seemed as important. How can I complain about ANYTHING when Tim's mom would give anything to have a whiney child, messy house, or no groceries? I will tell you that I have had some peace since then. There is a cross in front of the house with many notes, flowers and gifts for Tim, and at first it just made me sad. Now, I feel like it's a place to honor Tim. Occasionally, I will see a car stop and someone get out to leave a momento. Each time I say a little prayer for them, Tim, and his family.
That said, I have some extremely rare time today. I have a meeting with our school district this morning for speech referral we made for Cameron. I'll write more after the meeting so I know the definite outcome. For right now, it is my day off and the kids are with my in-laws so I can actually hear and understand what the district recommends. They have the kids for the whole day, so that means an entire day to myself?! What will I do with the time??? Well, for one I am going to blog and possibly do a scrapbook page or two this morning. I've spoken of my infatuation for Target, but I have stayed away for....a long time. Possibly a month? Could it be? Today I am going to take the plunge. We need a few things for our upcoming vacation and that red bulls eye is calling my name. Speaking of Target, I have come across a bunch of blogs written by local people (love that) and one of them is Inside My Target Cart. I like this blog much better than the last one (way more posts and useful stuff!!) Once again, my fun day includes going to Target. However, it also includes shopping for Kyle's birthday gift and I'm excited about that, too. More to come...
