Bathrobe, not house@#*&

Apparently, I am not the only one who has fallen head over heels for Target. And in that spirit, I am going to tell you about this comfort girl's dream.
I am not one to walk around in a bathrobe--pretty much because if there's nothing under it then I'm too cold. If there are clothes on under, then it's too bulky. Just never took to it. But I love me some good ol' comfy clothes. Every year my Christmas list comprises of: warm. comfy. clothes. The fleec-i-er the better. And every year my family comes through for me. While walking around Target one day, I was pointing out things that I wanted for Christmas and I came across this lovely sight. I said, "GET me this. If nothing else, THIS. I WANT this. Let me try it on so we know exactly what size. Hey, look at me--I want this!" Finally, after a couple days of questioning Kyle told me to just go buy it myself--so I did. It's so comfortly perfect. I can wear my lighter shirts and comfy fleece pants/pj pants under and still be warm and cozy. I'm not bulked up and there are pockets to put all of my unused (left side) and used (right side) tissues from snotty nosed kids. (Paci goes in the unused side as well, along with any small objects I find along the way). It has these cute little tie string ball-y things that don't seem to have much of a purpose, but they keep Kaela busy while I change her diaper. There's also a hood. Perfect for running outside for extra wood. I actually bought white, thinking--knowing--it was probably a bad idea. Good thing it cleans easily! I've already had to wash it once and it will be washed again today because Cameron peed on it. Long story, but um, potty training is not going so well...
So, for $20 you can't beat it! I even made my mom buy one while she was here for Christmas. She put it on immediately and has probably been hooked ever since.
Last thought for the day: this is a BATHROBE. I highly loathe the word...can't even say it...housecoat. pth, pth, pth. I don't know why I have such a strong taste or distaste of particular words, but that is one of them. Kyle loves to say it in my presence as often as possible. That's ok...I have a plan for him.

i am soooo glad to see you admit to the whole blog world how much you love comfy clothes. i am in love with them too. it is all i wear. if i did decide to "dress up" and where jeans out and about or to church, immediately i come home and change into something comfy. now if i decide to wear something comfy out and about when i come home i am so excited i don't have to change - i am ready to assume the comfy feeling right away. anyway, i was feeling like i was a frumpy dump for always wearing something comfy. but i am addicted. glad to see i am not alone!!!!

Unbelieveably, I got a link today from Mel about establishing a routine... including getting dressed, right to the shoes, as soon as you get up in the morning. Does this sound like the same person? I think not. And I love my new HouseCOAT...mom

I believe that you are supposed to do the "routine" including getting dressed down to the shoes when you are CLEANING and ORGANIZING. While I did wince a little, it makes sense that then you have no excuse to not take out the garbage, etc. That's why--the super comfy girl I am--I wear slippers that have a hard sole and can be worn outside!! I admit that when I start not wanting to go somewhere because I will have to get dressed, it is a problem.
